About the School
The K&H Watchmaking Competence Centre has been established to provide watchmaking courses that focus not only on after sales service, but which also encourage technical creativity, design and strong watchmaking fundamentals.
We are committed to excellence in teaching, our goal is to teach skills and principles fundamental to watchmaking and micromechanics. Once the student establishes these foundations, we encourage and guide them to explore their own technical creativity and innovation. In this way, students develop the skill, knowledge and confidence to face the ever-evolving watchmaking industry.
As K&H is not reliant on corporate donations, we are afforded greater scope and independence to enhance the learning experience. Therefore, K&H is able to achieve true autonomy in watchmaking education because it is a fully independent institution operated by highly skilled and experienced teachers.

Courses & Programs
Introduction
The K&H Watchmaking Competence Centre is an independent and private institution in the field of watchmaking. K&H is able to maintain full independence in terms of teaching curriculum and instruction.
Time Frame
The duration of the Full Skill training program will be 2 years 4 months. This includes all major holidays, including public holidays. The student will be expected to work 4500 hours on schoolwork within this timeframe.
Learning Environment
At the K&H Watchmaking Centre, we expect the typical student to show keen interest in mechanical devices and hands-on practical work. The student should be hardworking, disciplined and self motivated. It would be beneficial if they had already developed an interest in watchmaking before embarking on the course.
The typical environment which the student should be expecting would be similar to real After-sales workshops found in the watchmaking industry. Depending on the stituation, the students would occassionally be expected to manufacture and replicate parts of a watch which needs replacement. Students are also expected to practice and maintain good customer service and repoire at all times.
Students at KHWCC are instructed on a hybrid Apprentice-Mentor mode of teaching, whereby individual students are given almost dedicated attention by one teacher at any one time. This system of instruction has been found to be greatly flexible and beneficial. Students are instructed, based on their individual learning progress, instead of progression as a whole class. This translates to a more effective and nurturing learning environment for the student.
